Shoko Ise

Video Artist, Photographer, Graphic Designer. Based in Osaka, Japan.

Ise's photographs and video works explore daily landscapes and events that are changing over time through external forces. With a subtle blend of beauty and melancholy, her atmospheric work contemplates mortality and the balance of motion between nature and humanity.

Not only active in the art field, Ise has also collaborated with various fashion designers and musicians including Speedometer, Nine Horses (David Sylvian, Steve Jansen, Burnt Freedman), Yellow Magic Orchestra to name but a few, creating live back projections, promotional videos as well as album sleeve and advertising artwork.
